Youth Creative Wellbeing

Creative, prevention-focused groups that support resilience, emotional literacy and confidence.

What We Do

Youth Creative Wellbeing offers structured creative group experiences designed to strengthen protective factors for emotional wellbeing before difficulties become overwhelming.
The program focuses on prevention, early support and the development of emotional literacy, self-regulation, relational awareness and confidence through creative practice.
Sessions are facilitated in calm, inclusive and non-judgmental spaces where young people can participate without pressure to perform, disclose personal stories or have prior artistic experience.

Outcomes

  • Increased emotional awareness and self-regulation
  • Greater confidence, resilience and sense of connection
  • Improved capacity to reflect, express and relate
  • Stronger sense of belonging and participation
  • Early support before distress becomes more entrenched

How We Work

Programs are delivered in small, supportive groups and combine creativity with practical wellbeing capacities, including:

  • Guided visual and expressive art practices
  • Reflective storytelling and narrative exploration
  • Sensory-informed grounding activities
  • Reflective writing and journalling
  • Communication and peer connection
  • Creative practices that support identity and meaning

Creativity is used as a gentle pathway for emotional regulation, self-understanding and early help-seeking.

Who It’s For

This program is designed for young people who may be experiencing increased stress, low mood, social withdrawal, emotional overwhelm, low confidence or early signs of mental health difficulty, and who would benefit from a structured, creative and community-based space for support.
