Creative Health programs for young people and communities

Kosmovision develops and delivers accessible Creative Health programs that use writing, storytelling, comics, visual arts and collaborative creative practice to strengthen wellbeing, confidence, connection and belonging.

Our programs focus on prevention and early intervention. We work in partnership with councils, youth services, community organisations and neighbourhood centres to create programs that respond to the interests, strengths and needs of each group.

Program Pathways

Our programs offer different pathways into creativity, wellbeing and community participation. No previous writing or art experience is required. Participants can begin with a word, an image, a character, a colour or an idea and develop their work at their own pace.

Writing & Comics Labs

Writing, storytelling and comics for young people who want to build a creative practice. Participants develop characters and imagined worlds, and work towards short stories, comics and zines. Includes our Summer Lab and Junior Labs.

Community Creative Labs

Programs run with local councils and community organisations, and shaped by the people who take part. Labs are funded for 2026–27 in Stonnington, Bayside and Boroondara.

Who Our Programs Are For

Our programs are designed primarily for young people aged 12 to 25, with selected programs available for adults and community groups. Each program sets its own age range within that span, depending on the partner and the venue, and the age group for every program is listed on its own page.

We welcome neurodivergent and LGBTQIA+ participants, people with disability, culturally and linguistically diverse communities, and people experiencing barriers to creative or community participation.

No previous writing or art experience is needed. Participants can start with a word, an image, a character or a colour, and work at their own pace.

How We Work

All our programs are trauma-informed, culturally safe and neurodiversity-affirming, with accessibility, choice, participant voice and co-design built into their delivery.

A program may run as a multi-week course, a workshop series or a short creative intensive, depending on the partner, the venue and the group. Sessions use drawing, painting, mixed media, writing and collaborative making, and participants choose the forms they want to work in.

Programs are facilitated by a multidisciplinary team that may include creative arts practitioners, social workers, counsellors, youth workers and community facilitators, depending on the program and its participants.

Find the Right Program

You can read about each current program on its own page: the Creative Storytelling: Writing & Comics Lab in Stonnington and Creative Wellbeing: Writing, Comics & Art in Bayside. If you would like to bring a Creative Health program to your community, or you are not sure which program fits, partner with us or contact us and we will help you find the right starting point.
