Creative Wellbeing & Participation
Creative, inclusive and community-based sessions for young people
Kosmovision is offering a small-group creative wellbeing program at Canterbury Neighbourhood Centre for young people who benefit from supported participation, social connection and accessible creative experiences.
The program supports communication, confidence, emotional regulation, belonging and everyday participation through creative, sensory-aware and community-based activities. Sessions are guided by each participant’s interests, comfort, support needs and preferred ways of engaging.
Participants may take part in different ways, including observing, listening, choosing, creating, resting and rejoining at their own pace. Activities can be adapted to diverse communication styles, including AAC, non-verbal communication and mobility supports. Participants attend with their own 1:1 support workers.
Families have also expressed interest in strengthening everyday capacities such as life skills, literacy and numeracy. These can be gently supported through creative practice, shared routines, group participation and practical activities, rather than through formal classroom teaching.
