These programs provide emotionally safe, identity-affirming wellbeing spaces for LGBTQIA+ young people and adults.
They focus on prevention and early intervention by reducing minority stress, isolation and emotional distress, while strengthening belonging, resilience and self-acceptance.
The program recognises the specific social and emotional pressures faced by LGBTQIA+ communities and offers supportive, non-clinical spaces where participants can feel seen, respected and safe.
How we work
Sessions are delivered in small groups and centre on creative and relational practices, including:
- emotional regulation and self-soothing skills
- creative and expressive wellbeing practices
- storytelling and narrative exploration
- peer connection and shared reflection
- strategies that reduce minority stress and build emotional safety
- mental health literacy and early help-seeking support
All sessions are facilitated by qualified counsellors, social workers, art therapists and trained facilitators with experience in LGBTQIA+ wellbeing and inclusive practice.
