DESCRIPTION:A free creative wellbeing program delivered through 12 weekly sessions for young people aged 15–22. Explore writing\, comics\, art\, characters and visual storytelling in an inclusive\, participant-shaped environment.  \nStarts Monday 19 October 2026 at Peterson Youth Centre in Highett. \nCreative Wellbeing: Writing\, Comics & Art\nCreate your story. Shape what comes next.\nKosmovision Foundation’s Creative Wellbeing: Writing\, Comics & Art is a free program for young people aged 15–22who live\, study\, work\, play or have a strong connection to Bayside. \nStarting Monday 19 October 2026\, the program will run from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Peterson Youth Centre in Highett. \nAcross 12 weekly sessions\, participants will explore creative writing\, comics\, character creation\, art\, visual storytelling and collaborative creative activities in a welcoming\, inclusive and low-pressure environment. \nNo previous writing\, drawing or arts experience is required. \nWhat will we explore?\nWriting and storytelling\nExperiment with voice\, scenes\, fragments\, short-form writing and imagined stories. \nCharacters\nCreate characters\, relationships\, motivations and different perspectives. \nComics and visual storytelling\nExplore how images\, words and sequences can work together to tell a story. \nArt and visual expression\nUse drawing\, colour\, symbols\, collage and visual prompts to develop and communicate ideas. \nWorldbuilding and imagination\nCreate places\, imagined worlds\, story settings and possible futures. \nCreative collaboration\nMake alongside others\, exchange ideas and contribute to optional individual or shared creative projects. \nThroughout the program\, participants will have opportunities to develop their own written\, visual or combined creative work. \nCreative wellbeing\nThe program creates an inclusive\, non-clinical creative environment where young people can develop creative skills\, self-expression\, confidence\, communication\, social connection\, belonging and participation through sustained creative practice. \nCreative activities can also provide distance when exploring meaningful ideas. Participants do not need to tell their personal story. A character\, fictional conflict\, comic\, symbol or imagined world can hold an idea or experience instead. \nYoung people can participate at their own pace\, use different creative approaches and decide what they would like to keep private or share with others. \nWho is it for?\nThe program is for young people aged 15–22 who live\, study\, work\, play or have a strong connection to Bayside. \nWe welcome young people with different creative interests\, communication styles and ways of participating\, including neurodivergent young people and young people who may experience barriers to accessing arts or community activities. \nNo diagnosis\, professional referral or previous artistic experience is required. \nA participant-shaped creative space\nThere is no single way to participate. \nYou might prefer writing\, drawing\, developing characters\, creating comics\, imagining worlds\, experimenting with visual ideas or combining several creative forms. \nThere will also be opportunities for low-pressure\, optional sharing.
