Find your creative voice.\nKosmovision Foundation’s Creative Storytelling: Writing & Comics Lab is a free 12-week creative program for young people aged 16–25 with a connection to the City of Stonnington. \nStarting 7 October 2026 at Grattan Gardens Community Centre\, Prahran\, the program brings together creative writing\, comics\, character development\, visual storytelling and worldbuilding in an inclusive and participant-shaped environment. \nNo previous writing\, drawing or arts experience is required. \nWhat will we explore?\nWriting and storytellingExplore voice\, scenes\, fragments\, short-form writing and imagined stories. \nCharactersDevelop characters\, relationships\, motivations and different perspectives. \nComics and visual storytellingExperiment with image\, text\, sequence and graphic narrative. \nWorldbuildingCreate places\, imagined worlds and possible futures. \nCreative experimentationUse drawing\, visual prompts\, symbols\, writing and collaborative making to develop ideas in different ways. \nThroughout the program\, participants will have opportunities to develop their own written\, visual or combined creative work. \nCreative wellbeing\nThe program creates an inclusive\, non-clinical creative environment where young people can develop artistic skills\, self-expression\, confidence\, connection and participation through sustained creative practice. \nCreative activities can also provide distance when exploring meaningful ideas. Participants do not need to tell their personal story. A character\, fictional conflict\, comic\, symbol or imagined world can hold an idea or experience instead. \nYoung people can participate at their own pace\, use different creative approaches and decide what they would like to keep private or share with others. \nWho is it for?\nThe program is for young people aged 16–25 who live\, study\, work or have a connection to the City of Stonnington. \nWe welcome young people with different creative interests\, communication styles and ways of participating\, including neurodivergent young people and young people who may experience barriers to accessing arts or community activities. \nNo diagnosis\, referral or previous artistic experience is required. \nA participant-shaped creative space\nThere is no single way to participate. \nYou might prefer writing\, drawing\, developing characters\, creating comics\, imagining worlds\, experimenting with visual ideas or combining several forms. \nThere will also be opportunities for low-pressure\, optional sharing.
